Ortús musicians brought their music into the community during the festival in collaboration with Cork ETB School of Music, CIT Cork School of Music and Cork County Council.
In 2018 Ellen Jansson (piano) and Brendan Garde (violin) worked with two young ensembles from Cork City and County in the weeks coming up to the festival:
· Caleva Trio (from Cork ETB School of Music): Selena McCarthy (violin), Caoimhe Cronin (cello) and Eva Crowley (piano)
· Carpe Diem (from CIT Cork School of Music): Irina Riedewald (violin), Catherine Kelly (violin), Oliver Linger (viola) and Michael Murphy (cello)
